Omaha Beach Cafe

I am always greeted with a warm welcome when arriving, the coffee and food is consistently of a high quality and I am never disappointed. Prices are reasonable and the location is perfect for a walk along Omaha Beach before or after spending time at Omaha Beach Cafe. I cannot recommend this place enough!

** Fantastic Brunch by the Beach!** The Beach Café is a must-visit! We had an amazing brunch with generous portions, and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Plus, it’s just a short walk from the beach, making it the perfect spot to start the day. Highly recommend!

I am making a review of this cafe as a result of the departure of their Barista, John, the results of which is a downgrade in their coffee, especially the long blacks. While it is still good, it is no longer exceptional as it previously was, long blacks sadly are just not to the same standard as before, the lack of any stable crema or no crema at all, is notable. The food supplied however is still great, with Dara producing "Excellent fare", and nothing is too much trouble for Dara to make something special for you, always with the proviso of how busy the cafe is at the time. ***** There are a couple of new chefs here now, Dara and Kevin make the food, and its really great. The Café certainly needed this change as the food on offer became rather boring, and what was great, has been discontinuted, now it is back on the menu. The coffee that John produces is exceptional, he is the real asset to this cafe, and he has a significant following, notably for his long blacks and mocca's. They make a great chicken burger, however you cannot eat it as such, because it is just too large. My wife had to open it up and eat it in two halves due to the size of it, awesome. See the last photo attached. ***** Updated my review, John has to make the best long black coffee, always consistenly hot, good stable crema on top, and with a great after taste, it does make a difference which Barista makes your coffee here. We went to the café for lunch yesterday, and not wanting a big lunch my wife just wanted fish and chips, so she ordered the childs portion size. They said the fish was a little bit on the small size, so they supplied two pieces. As can be seen from the photo, number 7 of 7, the size of the fish portions were not that small. We had already eaten quite a few chips before I took the photo, so it doesn't quite do it justice. This café serves the best variety of great food to my mind of any café in the Warkworth area. **** I am reviewing this café once again. I just cannot fault this café on any level, food, service and particularly from the JJ or TJ themselves. This is our go to place for lunch and coffee, we know that we are going to come away completely satisfied with both the meal and especially the coffee. This has to be the best café anywhere in the wider area. The food is tasty, enticing and exceptional, the owners are delightful and always friendly, obliging and they serve you with a smile. Not being a real fan of pizzas, however their seafood pizza has changed my mind and it is superb, and they don't skimp on the seafood. Their long black coffees are made from "Supreme beans" has to be the best that I have had anywhere, and it leaves a great after taste. The food prices may be just a little more expensive than other cafes, however when you consider what is offered, the prices are just right. I have to question a couple of reviews 9 months ago, which appear to be a couple of patrons that were at the cafe together, and their reviews don't really stack up with most other reviews, it could be a bit of a set up.
